Evil, Suffering, September 11th, and the God of Love

Last week marked the 10th anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attack. I broke away from my series on John to do a special message about evil and suffering. I saw three ways that Jesus respond to evil and suffering in Luke 13. First, he corrects the misunderstanding that all suffering is a result of sin. Second, he corrects evil and suffering. And third, he corrects it at great cost to himself. You can listen to the message here. If you want to think more about God and the reason why he allows evil in his world, I’d recommend this message by Dr. Mark A Garcia, entitled “I believe in Monsters: God, Horrendous Evil, and the Christian Faith.”
